Tonghua Iron and Steel Group Co., Ltd., founded in 1958, is a large-scale iron and steel complex integrating mining, beneficiation, sintering, coking, ironmaking, steelmaking and steel rolling. It is the largest iron and steel joint enterprise in Jilin Province and a key enterprise supported by the state in revitalizing the northeast old industrial base. In July 2010, it was reorganized with Shougang and became the main steel production base of Shougang Group in Northeast China.
